What about 1GG for one land? Also remeber that the land has to come from the RFG zone and that is a liability in itself, as you need lands put there. This is different from a library search, more like a GY search, but even tougher.
This is true, but this is a card that, like Life from the Loam with Dredge, removes the tension of the mechanic. Having to choose between drawing a card or dredging something affects your mana-development.
In this case, having to choose between landcasting or playing that land creates that tension.

Yes, different in that you could pay more than 1 and get multiple effects, but by making the costs 2 or 3 generic allows for too much abuse of "good" effects. That's why I have kept them to 1 generic and then it would have to be combined with things like cost increaser to get more effects.
Thats why I have tried to make the added effect something small or something that complements the original spell. I really think that putting drops on a spell with just one generic mana in its cost is, most of the time, just going to be just like a bleed spell from Ravnica. Only the wording is going to be confusing.

I'd love to make a lot of cute drop-spells and then just a few with multiple drops, so you can have something like this:

Drive 3U
Instant
Tap or untap target creature.
~ deals one damage to that creature for each R spent to play ~.
Put a +1/+1 counter on that creature for each G spent to play ~.


Hmm.. maybe not the best example, but you get what I'm aiming for right?

I like all the totems, btw. :)

I like the rotate series and the totems a lot. I'll give more feedback later.

Nice, save for one thing. The fire coming from the dragon gives the art a "Red" appeal to it. Is there any way you could find a picture that's kinda "light-mountain" or "sky-mountain"?

I know I'm knit-picking a bit too early, but just throwing my thoughts out there. Overall it's nice.

(btw, if the creature has a name, shouldn't it be legendary?)

Ransac, did you want these to be legends? If not, just change the name to "Dragon of Greed" and we'll put the name in the flavor text.

The first thing that comes to mind, is Psychatog.

I know that this is a weak argument, because Psychatog is already crazy good, but I think it serves as an example that having cards that come back from the removed from the game zone as a triggered ability is too easy to break. Especially with the cardadvantage it has when combined with alternative casting cost cards like Force of Will, Cave-In etc.

I think its a cute idea, but it seems to me it would too many fixes to be 'unbreakable' at which point it becomes very narrow...
I would consider putting this on one card (which would definitely not be blue) which has a huge casting cost..

I've formed opinion on how to make bad cards.
We don't.
Just keep submitting ideas of cards that seem playable, and during playtesting we can add mana to casting costs or drop some stats to downgrade the consistency of the set or of a given color. This way we'll play with each card before shelving it :)

Berserkers are Red, Black and Green (Vindictive Mob is black)
White and Blue don't have warriors, so I thought that they should.

I don't want the shamans to be very playable on their own so a change to 2/3 for all but the green is okay. It's the forced synergy thing.

I'll go with the All minions, instead of human minions, but there are a lot of minions out there. But, what the heck, minions it is.
