Does it look pretty much as we left it?

We'll head through the door to the south to start with.

Yes.

You open the door to the south, head down the passage for 40', turn east for 10', and then the corridor splits, with one split continuing to the east for 30' and ending in a door in the east and the other split going south.

While you decide which way to go, you take this opportunity to rest for a turn.

After our rest, we'll head to the door in the east. Do the standard checking and then enter cautiously.

No one hears or finds anything of note on the door.

Opening it, you see a N-S corridor. A door is in the east wall 10' to the north and the corridor turns east after going 30' south.

Standard door procedures as we open it (listen first - then proceed cautiously).

No sounds behind it so you open it and see...

A 30' E-W by 40' N-S room with a door in the most eastern part of the south wall. This room is empty except for a hug block of pumice in the NE corner. The top half is carved into the likeness of the pagan god encountered outside on the hilltop. The bottom is still shapeless.

"Well this certainly makes this room unique on my map." Wilhelm notes as he moves closer to get a beeter view of the figure to copy it to his map.

Is the statue entirely Pumice? or does it have jeweled eyes or whatnot?

Does it look "recent" are there pumice "crumbs" from carving around it at all?

Southeastern door it is... standard checks before opening.

It looks entirely pumice - no jeweled eyes. It's not a recent carving, looks sorta dusty.

Standard checks on the door reveal nothing - opening it reveals a corridor going E-W

Before we leave, desecrate the statue. I am assuming that it is the same diety that we have been encountering pretty much the entire time through here?

If it is releatively fragile, will destroy it. If not, will try to de-face it as much as possible.

"What are you doing? How is anyone going to recognize this room from my map if you destroy the statue......"
