Wilhelm finds nothing of interest on or near the doors or near the floor near the doors.

As Si'Nat moves further into the room, he sees that the room is a total of 120' E-W with another pair of statues at the 80' and a single statue at the 100' marks, all with the same visage. Nothing else is in the room.

"Hmmm... Nothing found here... Guess I'll head to another building and check on it...)

(as he passes Wilhelm...)

"there's more doors over there to look at wilhelm..."

(Nods to the building on his left a he exits... I believe that position is correct...)

Kurik shakes his head. "Is there some reason why secret doors have to be near other doors? They could be anywhere." He walks around the entire room and stopping near the SE corner, looks closely at the wall and then pushes. It gives a little and he turns and says, "See? Like right here..."

"Not too bad there Kurik... Now - what's in here..."

(heads through the new door...)

You find yourself in a 10' wide hallway going east-west. It also goes north around the corner, following the contours of the room. At the edge of the torchlight, to the east you see the faint image of a door in the north wall while the passage continues east.

"Whoa, wait a minute. Are you all going in there? It's mighty dark and.... well... dark..... " , stammers Wilhelm, "More torches would be good." As he finds the back of the party and looks to hold a torch to light those in the back....... Muttering lowly,"At least there aren't any monsters, now how am I going to map this and hold a torch?"

Rondo hangs back a bit so he can cover the rear while he preserves his infravision. He checks walls, floors and ceilings periodically for anomalies/traps/etc. in the stonework.

Rondo, you don't notice anything in the relatively short walk to the door.
Si'nat, you don't find any traps on the door but you do hear a faint something like chomping/snarling/smacking...

Si'Nat opens the door and enters the room, with Cugel behind him and Kurik and Bertrem next. This room is quite long N-S, going beyond the 60' light provided by the lantern and about 50' E-W. Three hobgoblins and two goblins are greedily feasting on a shank of meat at a dirty table about 30' away. Their weapons are close at hand and they leap quickly to defend the room. They don't seem to be surprised.

Round 1 - Monsters get initiative

The first hobgoblin rushes at Cugel and swings a sword but misses
The second also attacks Cugel and misses.
The third attacks Si'Nat and his blow is turned by Si'Nat's armor
The first goblin attacks Si'Nat and hits! drawing a bloody wound
The second goblin waits for an opening.

Wilhelm stands in stunned confusion... which door to run to, the one on his friends are fighting behind or the one that leads to the open air and those Goblins........

While Wilhelm is in utter confusion, Si'Nat mutters the words to his Sleep spell and the monsters collapse. Oddly, from the far end of the room that's still in darkness, you hear a couple of <thumps> as well.

Si'Nat begins cutting throats.
