Warhammer Quest: Death Below Karak Azgal

The Tentacled One
As you reach the gate, you hear hideous laughter echo throughout the room. A shadowy figure emerges in the far doorway and mutters an incantation, then staggers as a ball of dark smoke hits him in the face. He steps closer and you realize that this is the same man you found trapped here earlier.

"Dammit. Sendings are harder than than they might look like. Give me a second..."

He tries the incantation again, this time shadows flow around him. Six ghouls appear.

"Now then, where were we? Oh yes, I guess it was too much to hope that you and the orcs would kill each other. Now give me my keys and I'll maybe only kill one of you? I haven't really worked out all the details yet. You and these accursed chaos warriors have meddled too much. But now I'm back and the gate is still open and you have my keys. The star will be mine!"

The Tentacled One
Throg raises his sword, but before he can advance on the ghouls, giant bats drop down on him and giant rats rush past the ghouls. There are now six giant bats and twelve giant rats blocking the Warriors from reaching the ghouls...

Note: Throg and Dorgath were leading the way when the party arrived here. Since the attacks are coming from behind, Carrow and Kelgar are on the front line, at least for now. Since Carrow can automatically break from pinning, he can move back as soon as there is room for him to do so if that's what he wants to do. Kelgar can only move back if he successfully rolls to break from pinning. He doesn't have a ranged weapon anyway, so unless he becomes seriously wounded or Melkor shows up to say otherwise, Kelgar will continue to attack from the front line, although Throg and Dorgath are free to go around him if they have room. Right now, they don't...

The rat's deathleap exposes it to Kelgar's counterattack. The rat is killed.

Kelgar is still pinned in combat with one of the remaining bats (and the rats can move before Kelgar has a chance to), but Carrow is able to move forward now that the giant rats that blocked his path are dead, allowing Throg and Dorgath to get past him...

Carrow can either move directly forward, to the space occupied by the rat he just killed, or he can move diagonally, placing himself directly in front of Kelgar. He can also stay put. He must decide quickly, as if he doesn't move, the monsters will advance before he can and take up the empty spaces. Let me know.

Nothing Special
If Mooseman doesn't come online before it's time to move on, we'll have Carrow move directly forward. I know he doesn't want to stay put.
