The Tentacled One
I'd thought that Dorgath was out of Flash Powder. I went back and did a recount. I guess I got it mixed up with Firebombs at some point. Dorgath still had 3 bags. So he used one of them this round (2 bags remain). That means the following changes are appended...
  • Throg attacks a ghoul again and hits, but still doesn't finish it off (Dorgath's attack finishes it off anyway).
  • Dorgath attacks a skeleton and damages it heavily.
  • Kelgars attack finishes off the skeleton that Dorgath damaged. The one skeleton that regenerated instead doesn't get a chance to.
  • Carrow stabs Laranscheld through the heart. That means Laranscheld's attack never happens. Carrow is at 4/14 instead of 1/14. Still hurt, but not at death's door just yet.
In case you were wondering if the undead disappear once their master is slain: apparently not. You don't get off that easily. There are still 12 more ghouls and 4 more skeletons.

So... Laranscheld is dead?

In that case, Throg will just keep attacking ghouls until they're all dead.

Now that's what I'm talking about!

Dorgath turns and starts clearing the area of the undead, then climbs up when able to help finish off those above (if there's any left by that time).

Blah, I need a new computer. Getting back to this...

Round 10
-The Power Phase is 2 for this turn.
-Kelgar fails to bless anything.
-Dorgath's Lifestone of Ashraz heals him (14/15).
-Carrow slices through a ghoul's head.
-Carrow's deathblow decapitates another ghoul.
-Pause.

Carrow is up on the ledge, along with *counts* nine ghouls and two skeletons. Throg, Dorgath, and Kelgar are in the pit with one ghoul (arriving this turn as it descended from the ledge) and two skeletons (summoned behind the Warriors). Carrow has dispatched all adjacent foes and can still move this turn if he desires (he can't attack until next turn). I'm mainly pausing this for him, although this is also for the whole party to decide their course of action. Carrow is currently hurt badly enough that he doesn't really stand a chance against the sheer number of opponents on the ledge if they decide to target him instead of trying to descend into the pit. But it's also not looking like it would be particularly easy to get back down while the ghouls are in the way. He could try to shove past the ghouls and climb down. He could try another acrobatic feat and attempt to jump onto a ghoul to break his fall or try to get Dorgath to catch him or something. He could use healing items. He could draw his bow and try to pick off the monsters. He could charge in with his sword like a maniac. He could feign death and hope they leave him alone. He could use his Invisibility Ring to prevent the monsters from hitting him for a turn as he attacks. He could quack like a duck and try to use Laranscheld's lifeless body as a shield while taunting the monsters. He could do any number of things I haven't thought of. So I'm pausing to find out what he'll do next.

That goes for the other Warriors too, although their options are a bit more limited (kill whatever's in front of them) unless they think they can emulate Carrow's jumping skill and make it onto the ledge...

"Jump elf! I'll catch your sorry behind!"

I think Carrow should come back down so we can finish them off as they descend into the pit and we have the advantage of numbers this time.
