Dorgath opens the door, revealing a bent corridor. Three dirty, haggard men in rags are cowering in the corner. They appear to be unarmed. One of them is elderly and is leaning on another, a young man, for support. The third man moves in front of the others and speaks in a weak voice...
The old man speaks up, "I'm Anton. That's Arcttus [he gestures toward the man you've been speaking to] and this is Avorus. We mostly deal in textiles and pelts. We don't have anything with us. They took everything before they brought us here, wherever here is. I can promise you that if you help us get out of here, you will be rewarded."
"Well, I'm inclined to help the manlings. However, I'm not sure if we can get back through the portal to sure shelter at this point? We might have to barricade this room while we explore and try to find a way out from this place of where we are.
Do you know where 'this' is, manling?" Dorgath asks them.
"I don't—no, I don't know. I mean, this has to be Karak Azgal, right? But that's a big place. I assumed you would know better than us. Even if you don't know of a way out, we'd still ask that you let us come along. You have a lantern. We're tired and unarmed and I'm sure we'd all die in here before we ever made it out on our own."
"So what do you guys think? Wait until the gate opens again and take them back? Bring them with us and keep going and hope they don't get in the way? Can anyone detect any "magic" on them or being in them so we're not tricked like before? Leave them here?"
"We could also kill them. Don't forget that. If we choose to let them live, I don't want them out of our sight until we're out of this place. Three of us can drag them along and perhaps use them as shields in case of emergency."
Kelgar whispers: "I don't think taking them out of here right away is an option. Even if we could easily get past the collapsed ceiling, we'd still have to find a way to get back through the chaos gate. I don't detect any magic on these men. That's no sure indication that they have none, but I'll not have their blood on my hands. If you want to kill them, do it yourself, chaos warrior."
