"Dirty! Only because these foul greenskins have polluted it with their presence..."

Dorgath leads the way back to the "surface" (or dwarf hall) so we can resupply. We will also tell the grandfather's fate to his grandson.

Which way do you want to go back? The eastern door has pit traps right on the other side of it and the western door has the firechasm room...

The Tentacled One
As you return to the firechasm chamber, a voice resonates from the dragon statue...

"You have done the honorable thing and left my gold alone. Now heed my words: the hidebound door is cursed. But it can be opened by one that bears no metal arms or armor."

"Well, that helps. You guys want to go back now and try the door? Is anyone currently not wearing metal or does someone need to take off some stuff?"

The Tentacled One
"Yeah, I think someone's got to git nekked."
If he will, but I won't watch him...
I think most people wear clothes of some sort under their armor. Otherwise, I would imagine there would be some chafing. But for future reference, everyone is wearing clothes under his armor as of now.

We should have Kelgar undress and open the door.
I actually didn't anticipate this. Make the guy who hasn't been posting do it. Clever, although it seems obvious in retrospect. I'll allow it...

Kelgar hands his weapons and armor to Dorgath and opens the door to a small room. A pale green glow suffuses this room and a pall of smoke drifts across the floor. You can just make out a magic circle inscribed on the floor and hear and eerie, dull chanting. The room seems to be empty, with no objects or doors in sight. You can't be certain though: the smoke on the floor could be obscuring any objects lying around.

"Bah! Magic!" Dorgath waits until Kelgar gets his armor back on and weapons back and eases cautiously into the room.

As Throg is searching the room, the ring on the floor lights up and the smoke in the room coalesces...

Throg gets the feeling that this is going to be a boss fight...

Suddenly the smoke clears. Two minotaurs and an orc shaman appear in the room and attack...

Well. That's not good. Shall we strategize before the fight? I'm feeling we need to take out that shaman first, as he's probably the weakest and may be able to heal those minotaurs. I say we throw everything at him and then focus on the minotaurs.

Dorgath will throw a Firebomb behind the enemy to minimize its effect on the party (but hopefully still catching the enemy in the blast).

Throg will attempt to attack the shaman. If the path is blocked, he will go after the nearest Minotaur.

"Chaos and Orcs working together! This can't be good..."

Can't remember how many actions I can do in a turn, although it seems two. So I'll throw Flash Powder at the minotaurs and try to attack the Shaman if I can. If I can't get to him, then the minotaur whom I almost severed its head.

I like that the Mark of Chaos kicks in automatically when something goes horribly awry. I can't help but wonder what would have become of Dorgath's head had it not activated...

Throg will continue to attack the shaman.
