I'm going to be taking a few days off from work, so I won't be back in the office until June 1st, so here are the rest of May's puzzles.

A piece of advice with enumeration (4 4 4 6 3 5 3 3 3) is coiled in the grid below. To spell it, start with the central "S" and keep moving from letter to letter, always going to an adjacent letter in any direction. Every letter in the grid will be used once only.

H W O H R I V
O E S T O C D
U A A S F E A
O S V O U D O
Y K E Y R G O

May 28th - Alphabet Soup
The following 15 letters can be anagrammed into a common phrase meaning to not stoop to your opponents' tactics. The enumeration is (4 3 4 4).

H A T E D E I G H T H O K R A

May 30th - Proverbiage
A well-known proverb is given in fancy language below. Put it back into standard English.

It is not universally true that material that shines with its own aura is auriferous.

At the carnival, there are two ticket prices: child admission tickets cost $2 each and adult admission tickets cost $3 each. A group of 15 people has purchased admission tickets for a total of $34.
How many children are in the group?

Answer:
"Save your good advice for those who ask you."

Go left then down for "Save." Wrap along bottom and right for "your," "good," and "advice"... the rest is relatively easy. Just jump diagonally from the R in "for" to the T in "those."

Comment:

Easy way to solve - there are 15 people, if they were all 15 children, it would be $30. Each adult is 1 additional dollar, so 4 adults.

Use the initials to name famous actors, their roles, and their movies. For example, A.H. as E.D. in M.F.L. translates to Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady.

1. C.G. as R.B. in G.W.T.W.
2. H.F. as I.J. in R.O.T.L.A.
3. E.W. as F.B. in T.L.O.T.R.:T.R.O.T.K.
4. J.F. as C.S. in T.S.O.T.L.
5. M.M. as A.P. and D.E. in A.P.:I.M.O.M.

BONUS! - May 29th
I'm surprised no one noticed (or, at least, said anything) that May 29th was missing. The reason for this was because it involves a picture and I couldn't scan it in last week, so here it is now.

It's easy to read music. We've labeled the lines and spaces with the notes they represent. Then we've added musical notes, which, when read in order, spell out words. Figure out those words and match them to the clues below.

A. Part of a timely score
B. Attachment to a horse
C. Head for a restaurant

Answer:
55% of 120 = 66 pennies given to sister
50% of 66 (plus 3) = 36 pennies given to cousin
1/3 of 33 = 11 pennies given to Molly

She spent the remaining $0.22 on penny candy.

Answer:

55% of 120 is 66, so she gave 66 pennies to her sister and had 54 left.
50% of 54 is 27, so she gave 30 pennies total to her cousin and had 24 left.
1/3 of 24 is 8, so she gave 8 pennies to Molly and had 16 left, which she spent on candy.

Answer: 16 pennies.

Every attendee at a business meeting exchanged business cards with every other attendee. If 42 cards were exchanged, how many people attended the meeting?

Answer:
I think that means there were 7 business people. Why? Each person meets (n-1) other business people. So n*(n-1)=42, and n=7.
