Rondo staggers back, bleeding profusely from the wound in his chest, then draws his axe and attacks the "captive".

Si'Nat's arrow nicks the man in the arm.

Oversoul's blow misses.

Karnage's slash hits him, but the rent in his uniform shows that it was stopped by plate armor.

Rondo & Bertrem also miss.

Round 3 - he gets initiative.

Pressing his attack on Rondo, Rondo, manages to fend off his blows with his axe.

Karnage at last connects and decapitates him.

The rest of you stand panting and gasping after the fury of the attack has subsided.

"And I suggest forgetting about being kind to anyone whom is remotely dangerous that we don't know... After all, the @&#*$%# killed Davin because he was insane... and such a person in my village would be killed as soon as possible... 'Live by your mind and might, die by the lack of either' is a saying from my home..."

"The only thing that stayed my hand is this writing over here" Points out the writing that he found earlier...

"Since he responded to the name....I saw we look pretty hard here to see what 'treasure' he held so dear as to drive him insane (if that is what did it)."

"He responded to the name in a negative manner... seemingly Travis is someone this man despised..."

Rondo's wound is bound and the bleeding slowly stops, although he grimaces in pain now and then.

Searching the room carefully, you don't find any traps or secret doors. The footlockers contain spare guard uniforms, although they are rumpled and wrinkled and the footlockers show signs of having been searched before (aside from Si'Nat's earlier search). The letters of the message look like they've been scratched into the wall by the point of a dagger or knife - they read "Beware of Travis".

"Now that I've paid attention to the writing... Travis probably wasn't the best thing to say... so Travis was probably a traitor or thief of some sort... He's probably in cahoots with the other bad beings running around here..."

(begins recalling everything they have seen and paths of travel to begin analyzing the situation better...)

"What is it we are not finding, or is there anywhere we didn't go or something we missed?..."

(I've got both sections of the map pieced together... but would you mind showing where we are on it now... I'm not sure if we are in the room with 3 or 4 beds... And just to make sure... each square is what? 10 feet?)

"Okay guys, let's rest up and see what else is out here, so we can hopefully make it out of here with the rest of us alive..."

OOC: Wants to gain a level! Need healing spells.

In PC: Well, we have gone this far, I think we need to take stock of where everyone is health wise, and move on to unexplored parts of this wierd labyrinth...

"Well... let's head on then.."

(assumes karnage is leading, but suggests which way to go...)

"How about heading out of here, and head South to check the next door in the hall way..."
