Finding no traps, the party moves into the room to rest for our requisite turn every 6 turns (or whatever it is).... We then gather back into marching order and head west, then South down the stairs...

All righty. You rest up, head west, head down the stairs... the stairs descend for 20' and then you continue south for another 30' before turning back east. You travel a LONG 90' before the corridor ends in a door in the east wall.

Karnage sighs, makes a small side comment about the uselessness of doors, and gets into position... still grumbling and looking slightly ticked off...

(Slightly frustrated that the previous room had nothing but iron rations in the crates, hopes rise at the entering of another door... With Karnage in position, and the others behind, Si'Nat moves forward, readies the sword and opens the door...)

"Knock, knock..."

No one answers Si'Nat's question.... :)

You see a corridor going at least 30' to the east where it faintly seems to split to the east and north and a 30' long corridor to the south, ending at another door.

"A hallway to a door to a hallway... the designer of this place was on some serious rat dung... Care to lead on Karnage?..."

**As Karnage doesn't appear to be leading...**

We will continue East, with our scout checking for traps along the way, Karnage watching his back, and the rest of us tagging along behind, being mindful of any sounds not coming from our ranks.

You head east for about 20' but come to a disaster area. It appears this section seems to have been in some kind of explosion or earthquake. Stairs once led up out of this area but now rubble covers the floor and blocks the stairs. Through cracks in the rubble, you catch a faint glimpse of a red glow outside.

The red glow isn't very friendly as I recall... What does a quick search of the rubble turn up?

After that, we'll go ahead and turn our attention to the southern door...

*Karnage is just point guard, not leader. That way his blade has less chance of hitting you guys. You know, big stupid swordsman up front with the smarter person that is guiding us, ready to throw the smarter one back and fight to protect him/her?*

**What about that southern door Spidey? The standard checks (traps, sounds/voices, and finally locked or not) before Karnage opens it... Thanks for the Update Karnage... I was pretty sure you didn't want to lead, but I figured I'd better see in case it wasn't just the impatience most of us feel.**

The door opens to a small 20' square room, with your door in the east-north wall. There's another door in the middle of the west wall. A small fountain is in the SE corner of the room. Tapestries hang from the north and south walls; one shows the scene of a young maiden with golden hair sitting on a silver throne. Upon her head rests a crown of silver and rubies. In one hand she holds a silver scepter and in the other she holds a large ruby. The other tapestry shows a warrior in black plate mail resting casually in a wooden chair decorated with carvings. His feet are propped upon a stool.

Are either of these individuals recognized by any of us? Or known to us from legend?

Once the room is deemed safe, I'll check out the fountain.

A good question.... :)

Upon closely inspection, you recognize the maiden to be Princess Argenta. You don't recognize the warrior however.

Patrick checks out the fountain.
