I do not participate in the Atkins thing, and as far as Nietzsche, well, Not his ghost, but he does talk to me in my head! <snicker>
(You've had a couple good hits, RXI. But it is strange you miss a lot with a +3 modifier. Then again, you keep coming up against these guys with Plate Mail and Shield... which means you need a 17 to hit (well, 14 with your modifier)

You head back north and to the east. After the expected 30', you reach the door in the southern wall. Your torches reveal that the corridor continues east for at least another 30' and also goes north for 30' and then turns east.
