*checks door for traps*

As Cugel enters the passageway, an audible <click> is heard and the floor drops out from under him. Karnage windmills his arms at this unexpected turn of events but manages to keep his balance at the east door. The rest of party gapes in horror from the west room as Cugel, with a startled yelp, disappears below. The floor swings back up and <clicks> again.

 

[TomB]

*Crap...I hate it when that happens...*

 

[Oversoul]

*startled yelp*

*disappears*

Rondo carefully goes up to the trap door and to see if he can open it again without falling into it, if so, he tries to wedge it open and attempts to determine if Cugel is okay. How far down did he fall?

 

[Spiderman]

(I assume you mean by stepping on it like Cugel did)

Rondo carefully steps out to where he saw Cugel fall but the floor remains unmoving.

Si'Nat

"We'll get to him as soon as we find the trigger he set off... hopefully that won't take long..."

(begins checking carefully for a trigger prodding interestingly with the tip of the sword...)

 

[Spiderman]

Si'Nat probes the floor carefully with his sword to no avail.

*Actually, I meant by using something to probe it, or by checking the stonework using my amazing dwarf-like capabilities...*.

mumbles some choice words...

(Ah. Okay )

As Si'Nat has already shown, probing has no effect. However, the <clicking> sounds make you think that there is possibly some catch or release somewhere not around the floor... you don't find anything, but you're sure there's gotta be something

Starts searching the surrounding area, looking for the trigger.

 

[Spiderman]

Bertrem fails to come up with anything.

"Okay - everyone stand back..."

(As soon as everyone is back I'm going to walk into the passage way the same way I remember Cugel doing so...)

"All or nothing I guess..."

(Walks forward with his hand and sword raised upward...)

*We should tie a rope around your waist, or something, shouldn't we?*

(I'd like the idea, but I don't wnat to be dangling if the door catches it - we can't exactly see a crack to peer down... I sent spidey a PM with the plans I had...)

"Well guys that was a bust... without doing much more, let's see if we can remember the fastest way to a lower level and take it - all in favor?"

"Agreed...we should go back to that western passage an take those stairs we saw to the south down to the next level an try to find our friend."
