D&D: Palace of the Silver Princess

[Spiderman]

It takes two turns to get back to that intersection. You then travel east for about 40' and come to a corridor going south, while the passage still continues east. By the light of the torches, you see a door in the south wall 30' further east, and in the south corridor, the passage goes 30' before it ends at a door. There's an additional door in the middle of the west wall of the south corridor (see the map).

(I ran out of space to do the south part so I made a "new" map extension, but it should correspond to the original map on the bottom).

"Cugel, lad," asks Rondo in hushed tones, "would ye be so kind as to check those doors to the south out? I'll come with ye an check them out too, listnin for bad guys."

 

[Oversoul]

*Lost in thought, Cugel becomes alert at the sound of his name, and proceeds to check the doors*

 

[TomB]

"Well, I don't hear nuthin - How's it look?" Rondo says to Cugel in hushed tones.

 

[Oversoul]

"They both appear to be safe."

 

[BigBlue]

Patrick

"Western door first?"

**I don't have a preference, but in the interest of progress I choose West....**

 

[TomB]

"Aye laddie...the western door's fine by me. Git ready to fight!"

When we're all ready, Rondo opens the door...

....to see the room devoid of inhabitants.

This is a 20' square room with the door in the upper east wall. It contains a bed, a small oak table, a wooden chair, a wooden footlocker, and a pile of papers. The table has been toppled over, the chair has been smashed into pieces, the footlocker has been broken open, the papers are scattered all over the floor, and the bed covers are smeared with blood stains.

Karnage grunts lightly, walks in, and begins to search the area...

Si'Nat

(I'm going to try and read the papers...)

 

[Spiderman]

Karnage searches the area while Si'Nat picks up some of the papers and reads them.

 

[TomB]

Rondo gets in on the search, checking the contents of the footlocker carefully.

Rondo kneels down and checks the shattered footlocker.

 

[Oversoul]

*Picks up some of the papers (not the same ones Si'Nat is reading--that would be silly) in order to attempt reading them*

Not to be outdone.... I'll try reading some of them as well...

Karnage stretches and leans on a wall. Nothing gaioed, nothing lost.

Glances quickly at some of the papers, then keeps a wary eye out for intruders whilst everyone else finishes up. (Sorry guys, end of the month kept me at work for 14 hours at least each day, First time I have had to log on since last week.)

 

[TomB]

"K, lads...nothing of value in here..." Rondo mutters in disappointment. He gets up from the floor and goes back out of the room to check the south door in the corridor.

 

[Spiderman]

As Karnage watches, Cugel, Patrick, and Bertrem join Si'Nat in reading the papers. Rondo disappears out the door to check the south door.

"Just a mess of guard duties and rosters... maybe a recipe would be more useful... Whenever everyone else is ready..."
