Rondo closes the door, and whispers in hushed tones "Hey lads...I hear the tramping of feet coming from the hallway to the south and see the glow of light as it nears the corner. Be ready to fight!"

Bertrem climbs to his feet, and checks his armor/weapons, whispering a silent prayer....

The sound of feet come closer and closer and stop at your door. The door starts to open and in walk two human sized creatures dressed in the same clothing (robes and all) as the ones you encountered in a group earlier. They take in you, the bodies of the original creatures, and the smashed up furniture in surprise...

(at the mention of the foot steps I readied my sword... and began moving to be to the side of the door about 5 feet from the opening, pressing myself against the wall...)

"Whatever they are... I hope they like the taste of steel"

...

(watches the humans come in and is just itching to spring into action...)

The second the door opens, Karnage attacks with full force at the first being in the door frame or right outside it.

*I hope my armor withstands Karnage's blow, since I was ALREADY AT THE DOOR...*

*I guess I'll just back away if I survive it...*

(Well - it depends on which way the door opened - if it opened in - you'd be moved back from it as they open the door... That probably moved you out of the way enough for a clear attack...)

;)

**I don't believe his intent was to attack through you.... I'm sure you won't have to worry about that... it's one of those screwy things about playing online with few visual aids**

Whelp, wait for an opening, and then attack, if no opening presents itself, will attempt to help in any way that I can.

Karnage grunts and pushes past the rest of the group.

"They must fall now! I do not want them to get away to alert others!"

Karnages swings savagly at his 'prey'.

(I'm making all the doors open outward unless otherwise noted, just for ease's sake for me :) I'm also going to have the creatures fully entered the room, thus "ignoring" Karnage's first post about attacking as soon as the door opened... he should have said that before I posted the encounter)

Karnage erupts in a blur of action, but only the air feels the full force of his fury.

Si'Nat, perhaps thrown off by his savagery, also fails to connect.

Patrick's dagger <thunks> in the doorframe.

Bertrem's blow hits one in the arm in a glancing blow.

Rondo's swing also slices through air.

Cugel fires an arrow that shatters on impact against one's body.

Round 2 - You have the initiative (I'll assume you keep attacking since nothing in the situation has changed; i.e. someone wounded or dead or whatever)

Karnage redoubles his attack but to no avail; his blow is agilely dodged.

Si'Nat's sword is met in mid-air by his opponent's mace.

Bertrem's swing goes wide.

Rondo still fails to connect.

Cugel finally draws a thin line of blood as his arrow scrapes by one's head, throwing back his cowl and revealing human features.

(Not sure if Patrick wants to throw another dagger....)

Finally having a chance to attack, one swings at Karnage and one at Si'Nat and both hit but fail to penetrate the armor and thus deal damage.

Round 3 - You have the initiative again.

Karnage and Si'Nat fail to get past their opponent's guard.

Bertrem can't do much on his end either.

Rondo, with a mighty blow, finally cleaves the one hit by Cugel in half.

Cugel's arrow flies wide.

The one facing Si'Nat scores a glancing bruise.

Round 4 - You win the initiative again.

Doing a fair imitiation of Spiderman, the creatures weaves, ducks, and blocks everyone's blows. However, he can't do much in return either.

Round 5 - You win initiative again.

Everyone fails to hit each other again.

Round 6 - You lose initiative (finally :) )

His blow is again deflected by Si'Nat's armor. Everyone else misses except for Rondo, who manages to carve a big chunk out of his chest with his axe. Spurting blood, the creature falls to the floor.

(Whew! I gotta say, only Rondo's +3 bonus due to his strength got you through that one :) )

(Spidey, I will always throw all my daggers... if the opponent seems to have the upper hand then I'll use my spell...)

Patrick recovers his dagger from the door... Picks up their torch...

"I want to see exactly what kind of armor these things wear... and uh, can someone check my wounds please..."

(Goes to pull the "robe" off the humanoid to see what is under there...)

(Is it just a cloak over their head though, as before, or is it a helm of some sort?...)
