The Tentacled One
The sand is still piling up. It hasn't gotten high enough to pour into the corridor where Throg is standing, but it shows no signs of draining anywhere. However, Kelgar retrieves the only visible object in the room other than the ghoul corpses before he walks out. It's an old backpack.

Yes, Kelgar bravely charged in when he saw Carrow being attacked. I figure as long as Melkor isn't around, Kelgar should at least be working to defend the rest of the party, rather than just standing around while everyone gets eaten by ghouls or whatever.

The pack contains a Potion of Pain (deflects all damage from a single blow that would otherwise kill the warriors that drinks it in the same turn and heals for 2D6), three loaves of stonebread, and a horn that Kelgar believes has the power to cast a protective spell when blown. Kelgar will not take any of the items unless no one else is interested in them (mostly because Melkor is AFK, so I'd rather have the rest of the party getting the useable items, and he also gains extra gold as a bonus for healing, so unwanted treasure can be sold to keep everyone else gaining as much gold as Kelgar does).

"How about I'll take the Potion and Carrow takes the Horn then?"

Dorgath will try to search the room for secret doors and stuff.

Meh. I'll take some stonebread, but I don't care who takes the other items.
Throg could not possibly eat stonebread. It's too hard. He never understood how dwarves do it. Of course, Throg can carry stonebread around if he wants. It's not like the stuff is going to spoil.

Dorgath will try to search the room for secret doors and stuff.
I'm assuming that this is meant to refer to the corridor, not the sand trap room, as the latter would be impossible to search at this point (the sand is already very difficult to wade through.

Dorgath checks the walls of the corridor, which is easy this time because there are so many regular doors that there can't be too many spots for a secret door to hide. There don't seem to be any more secret doors here...

While Dorgath is searching, Kelgar heals Carrow (12/14).

Edit: I forgot if I ever mentioned in any of these threads what stonebread actually is. There was a time when Dorgath was shopping at the dwarven guildmasters in the fortress, but that was only in a PM. Also, it was a while ago. So, I definitely should have described stonebread when I said it was the in the backpack. My mistake. Anyway, stonebread is a special type of ration that only dwarves can eat. It never goes bad and restores a full 1D6 Wounds, but takes up all the dwarf's actions for the turn.

I guess Dorgath will take the stonebread also and Throg can take the Potion.

Let's check out that west door - Dorgath will listen and check for traps and if he already did all of that or finds/hears nothing, he opens it.

"Stonebread is supposed to be edible?! I was going to use it as a weapon. Let the dwarf have it then."
