The spell fizzles.
Ha, not yet! I got it fixed again. Looks like biggest culprit all along might have been a bad A.C. unit. I've known it was bad for several months because it made a lot of noise, but I didn't know it could do so much to affect the rest of the vehicle. But it was probably what broke the serpentine belt and burned out the starter. Anyway...
 

Oversoul

-Tomas casts Freeze! 3 of the dryads take 3 damage.
-Jekaena casts Glittering Robe, shielding herself for 5 this turn.
-Kelgar blesses Carrow and Dorgath with Vanquish. They get +1 Attacks this turn.
-Carrow shoots a dryad (4 damage).
-Carrow lands another shot (5 damage).
-Carrow looses another arrow into his target. The dryad screams and plummets to the forest floor.
-Revaethan uses Woven Mist. He gets 4 combined Move and Attacks this turn.
-Revaethan hacks into the dryad by him (5 damage).
-Revaethan swings, but trips on a knot.
-Revaethan stubs his toe.
-Revaethan lands a glancing blow on his opponent (8/15 Wounds).
-Dorgath swings his axe at a dryad, but the creature lunges out of the way.
-Dorgath repositions himself, but the dryad uses the same trick and avoids his attack again.
-Dorgath lashes out with a kick, which the dryad doesn't expect (5 damage).
-Dorgath is still convinced that the dryad isn't taking him seriously, so he punches it (8 damage).
-Dorgath throws another punch, breaking the dryad's, uh, something. Its limp body tumbles an impressive distance across the canopy.
-Dorgath clobbers the dryad in front of Throg with his last gauntlet attack. The dryad wobbles a bit, then collapses in a heap.
-Tomas stabs the dryad that came in next to him (5 damage).
-Tomas tears his victim to shreds.
-Throg fails to hypnotize anything.
-Throg's Ice Missile misses.
-Throg hacks into the dryad alongside him (6 damage).
-Throg's Bites the dryad (4 damage). It actually looks pretty weird because I guess his illusion hides his monstrous fangs or something. No one around really seems to know what's going on.
-Throg beheads a dryad. That seems to kill it.
-Ty throws himself at the dryads, bring in his knuckle-dusters and his fist spike and tearing into his first foe (11 damage).
-Ty splits open a dryad head and its brains or whatever leak out all over the place. Gross.
-Ty's fist spike carries him into his fallen foe's position.
-Ty switches to his sword, brings in his knuckle-dusters again, and rips a dryad open (11 damage).
-Ty switches back to his fist spike and finishes that dryad off.
-Ty's fist spike carries him into his fallen foe's position.
-Ty swings his sword, but his target manages to sidestep it.
-Ty clips a dryad and seems to almost finish it off (1/15 Wounds).
-Ty attempts a knee strike, but the dryad dodges it.
-Ty slips.
-A dryad swipes at Ty (18/20 Wounds).
-A dryad mauls Ty (11/20 Wounds).
-A dryad slams into Revaethan (8/18 Wounds).
-A dryad scratches Revaethan (7/18 Wounds).
-A dryad charges into Throg (25/29 Wounds).
-A dryad slashes Throg (21/29 Wounds).
-A dryad lunges at Throg, but can't catch him.
-A dryad whips Throg (15/29 Wounds).
-A dryad mauls Dorgath (22/25 Wounds).
-A dryad bashes Dorgath (19/25 Wounds).
-Kelgar's Ring of Jade heals Throg (20/29), Tyresius (16/20), and Revaethan (12/18).
-Kelgar collects gold for his healing efforts! Praise Sigmar.
-The remaining dryads shift into Birch Aspect. They gain +1 Attacks.

Next round...

-The Power Phase is 3.

-Dorgath's Axe heals him (22/25).
-Tomas casts Lifebringer. He heals some wounded companions: Throg (26/29), Tyresius (18/20), Revaethan (17/18).
-Tomas casts Ogre Strength on Tyresius (+2 Strength this turn).
-Jekaena casts Finger of Life on Revaethan, fully healing him.
-Jekaena casts Strength on Revaethan (+1 Strength this turn).
-Kelgar blesses Carrow and Dorgath with Vanquish (+1 Attacks this turn).
-Carrow fumbles and momentarily loses his grip on his bow. He recovers.
-Carrow plunks a dryad (6 damage).
-Carrow plunks his target a second time (1/15 Wounds). The dryad staggers, gravely wounded.
-Revaethan uses Woven Mist. He gets 6 combined Move + Attacks this turn.
-Revaethan chops a dryad. The monster collapses and rolls off the tree limbs, tumbling out of the canopy.
-Dorgath cuts a dryad (3 damage).
-Dorgath loses his balance.
-Dorgath clips a dryad (1 damage).
-Dorgath swipes a dryad with his Great Axe Attack (3/15).
-Dorgath tries to kick the dryad out of the canopy, but the creature nimbly evades him.
-Dorgath socks a dryad into the sky.
-Throg fails to hypnotize anything.
-Throg casually imprisons the arrow-plunked dryad with his Ice Missile.
-Throg lands a life-stealing attack with his axe, wounding a dryad (4 damage) and fully restoring himself.
-Throg bites his victim (6 damage).
-Throg chases a desperately maneuvering dryad, but fails to connect.
-Throg smashes a dryad with a mighty blow of his axe.
-Ty slashes a dryad (8 damage).
-A dryad ducks beneath Ty's attack.
-Ty thrusts forward with his sword, but steps partially into a gap between tree limbs.
-Ty impales a dryad on his fist spike, finishing it off.
-There's only one dryad left, but Throg has frozen it and it cannot be attacked this turn.

Next round...

-Dorgath's Lifestone of Ashraz restores 2 of his Wounds.
-Dorgath's Axe heals him (25/25 Wounds).
-The Power Phase is 1. An Unexpected Event occurs!
-The Wild Magic of this place permeates the air. For the next 3 turns, roll an extra D6 during the Power Phase.
-The new Power Phase is 7.

Figures we'd get more access to magic now that the fight's almost over...lol

I guess we wait for the dryad-cicle to thaw out enough to whack it...:)

That went well enough, I think. I guess we loot, heal, reassume marching order and keep moving...:)

The only loot that seems to be had up in the trees is this thing, which you spotted before you were so rudely interrupted by dryads...

Cloak of Deception
Attacks against the wearer are at -1 to hit. If the to-hit roll is a natural 6, the power of the cloak is exhausted for the rest of the adventure. Worth 350 Gold.
