Okay...I was just thinking that with Melkor not playing the group should probably roll up another healer type, but if Oversoul is okay with Kelgar continuing to guest heal I'm cool with that...:D

Up to you. There are a lot of options for healing, including potions and such. Kelgar and Tomas are the two party member currently who have some abilities they can use to heal others, but even if neither is around, you guys are getting stronger with levels and gear, so you'll be able to do some things to compensate for the lack of a dedicated healer. I also might throw in another healer NPC or just have one of them tag around. It's sounding like rokapoke might make a return if the time becomes available, so I'm tentatively thinking that he'll stick around with the main party, playing on autopilot. We'll see...

Checked my notes and I have a pretty good idea of where things were, but I still need to go over some stuff in the main Warhammer Quest book, which I'll do as soon as I get a chance (work has me spending a lot of time further from home than normal this week). I'll start a new thread and send out some PMs to clean up the leveling and shopping stuff and get options for the party's next adventure. Due to the hiatus and party changes at the end of a long adventure, I'm going to expedite most of the city stuff...

Just as a sidenote, does anyone follow Warhammer Fantasy? I just checked in the past week to see what was going on and didn't realize that Game Workshop totally upended the game with End Times and pretty much re-wrote the game, using new "races" to correspond with the traditional elves, dwarves, and such so they could trademark the names (so online commentators say?). Pretty wild... haven't played in years so not sure if it's an improvement but the dwarven lover in me of course hates the idea of moving away from the name, even if the traits may be the same :D

Well, I'm still not really ready. Work's been exhausting lately, but I think at this point it's better to just get this moving again, rather than trying to meticulously get back to exactly where I was. It'll help everyone refresh, and hopefully we won't have such a prolong hiatus again. With that in mind, I'm starting a new thread. This one has gone on for an impressive amount, but it's time to retire it...

I lied. We still don't know what the next adventure is, so we might as well keep using this thread until a new course of action is established. There are five different leads for new quests, now posted in the main campaign thread. Feel free to discuss your options here or ask any questions about the new "active quests." I'm trying to make this a little more open-ended. The starting point for that is to have five different leads. You can seek to follow any of them, although obviously the party can only actually go to one dungeon at a time...

No, no. That still happened. It's canon. It just didn't lead anywhere. I mean, you did meet Tyresius, so there's that.

Okay, I didn't know if it was just "fluff" or actually would lead to something substantial to the campaign.

In that case, sure, let's do the Epic questline.

The idea was to RP a reason for Ty to leave town, and to give Dorgath an opportunity to invite Ty to meet the others and/or join the group after watching the alley encounter go down. I guess it was a bit fluffy, but it seemed like a good idea at the time...;)

Yeah, that's my fault. I do recall that that was what TomB was going for, but I didn't remember it at the time and still can't remember any specifics I might or might not have known...

Corticruss returns the Sylvan Epic book to Carrow.

"As I believe I mentioned earlier, although now that I think about it, everything the whole event seems so distant now, anyway, where was I? Oh, so as I think I said before, some elves came to Middenheim drawn by a strange enchantment from the book. Without my having told them, they knew that I'd obtained it from a wood elf. Apparently the enchantment is specifically keyed to wood elves and is now linked to Carrow. They were very curious about you, but left it alone when I explained that you were just an adventurer who'd found the book in an old crypt. They seemed relieved, deciding that you wouldn't likely be working for their enemies. They implored me to send you to them, claiming that they now have a holy mission to escort the book and the bearer of the book (Carrow) back to Loren. Not knowing Carrow's relationship with his homeland and not wanting to betray him if he has reason to avoid going back, I stalled them. I leave it up to you. They're staying in a house just north of the merchant district. I can point it out to you.

These elves mentioned enemies, but they were rather cryptic about it. These enemies seek to destroy the book. Whoever they are, they hired assassins in attempts to eliminate myself and Carrow, attempts that have failed thus far. I was trying to find out who hired the assassins, but all of my leads have gone cold and I seem to have incinerated the last of them. If no more assassins appear, then I have more important concerns for now and I'm content to let the matter rest. If there are further attempts by these people on my life, I may have to resort to more drastic measures: the elves who want to meet Carrow know something about the assassins, and they're refusing to share. I bear them no ill will, but if I must coerce them to get more information, then so be it."

"Well that seems important." Carrow starts, "and a bit menacing. If my companions agree, we can meet these elves and see what they have to say."
