I did. It's Arkanoid. And it's the game with the paddle and the ball and the bricks and I had forotten that it had a weird name like that...

Why did they pick a weird name like "Arkanoid"?

I know what game it is, that's why I said Breakout with it. I just wasn't sure of the spelling since I was doing it off the top of my head.

Probably because it has a super-secret meaning that no one has been able to figure out yet.

Will someone figure it out?

My guess is that it is a compound of the 2 words

"Arcane" + the suffix "oid"

Arcane- Known or understood by only a few

-oid- (1).Resembling; having the appearance of; related to.
(2).One that resembles something specified or has a specified quality.

So perhaps this game is supposed to be a secret?
