Only played one game with this so far. The game was frustrating, but the end result was pretty great. One of my opponents was playing one of the new precons: "The Hosts of Mordor." He was able to deploy bigger creatures than the rest of us, so the Atraxa player next to him cast Farewell. I lost all of my creatures and wasn't drawing any artifacts. So I passed several turns unable to do anything, while the Sauron player rebuilt and slaughtered first one opponent, then the other. I was able to protect myself just well enough that I was brought down to 1 life before assembling an infinite damage combo with Animation Module + Triskelion + Ashnod's Altar + Rosie Cotton of South Lane.

I threw this together pretty quickly. It could use some work. But hey, it did win. Technically.

So, I already had some plans to improve this deck, but I had been missing some sleep and was too tired at the time. Ended up bringing the deck to Commander night yesterday with no changes. Although I did ultimately lose the game I played with this one, I was much happier with the overall performance than I was with last week. This time around, I was constrained on white mana early on and had no way to generate tokens other than with Nesting Dovehawk's populate trigger on Rosie's food token. That was not ideal. So my start was slow, and eventually I used Skullclamp on Rosie just to dig for more resources (got her back with Reveillark anyway). From there, I developed an intimidating board state with Adeline, Resplendent Cathar. But everything I had was reliant on artifacts. One of my opponents cast Farewell naming artifacts, which devastated my deck, while leaving the next deck in turn order unscathed. This essentially became a kingmaker move, handing the game to the other guy. I got to use a lot of counters and tokens, so I'll take the loss on this one.

This deck just barely managed to achieve victory in an epic game last night. Among the new inclusions I did get to use Staff of the Storyteller (nifty) and Panharmonicon (won me the game). It was precarious, and two other decks were usually both ahead of me for most of the game, but neither of those players wanted to commit the resources to finish me off. Eventually, one of them did pick off the fourth player in our pod, but I was able to make myself a more difficult target. Anyway, it was a great game and could really have gone any of three ways there if things had been slightly different.

Piloted this deck twice last night. Won both games by comboing with Rosie + Animation Module + Ashnod's Altar. First time was pretty brutal and I just happened to put the combo pieces together at the last possible opportunity, but everything had gone against me up to that point. Second game was a lot more interactive.

Staff of the Storyteller continues to impress.

Another glorious victory for Rosie! I was doing OK for most of the game, but didn't have any definitive threats that could close the game out. While being attacked and pondering what my blocks might be, I realized that because I had Ashnod's Altar + Twilight Drover + Mondrak, Glory Dominus + Crystalline Crawler + Rosie Cotton of South Lane all on the battlefield, I could sacrifice a spirit token (putting a counter on Twilight Drover) to Ashnod's Altar for mana, remove a counter from Crystalline Crawler to make a white mana, use the mana to activate Twilight Drover (removing a counter as part of the cost and adding a counter because a token is leaving the battlefield) and make four spirit tokens, which triggers Rosie four times and lets me put more than enough counters on Crystalline Crawler and Twilight Drover to keep the process going. Infinite tokens and infinite +1/+1 counters on all of my creatures. And because I also had Mindless Automaton on the battlefield, I could draw through my deck too.

Well, I've rebuilt this deck. I'll post an updated decklist at some point.

Even though I was pretty sure my new list here has plenty of lands, I was initially not seeing them. Mulliganed a zero-land hand away and saw a hand with only Mishra's Factory, which I kept on account of Skullclamp. Had a rough start including discarding to hand size, but slowly worked toward building a proper board state. The game ran long with multiple board wipes and with removal clearing the major threats from the board. I got a bunch of treasures from Smothering Tithe. Later, I was able to get Twilight Drover to stick, which I used in combination with Ashnod's Altar and my pile of treasures to make a lethal army of flying tokens. Picked off two opponents right away, then held up blockers to overwhelm the last remaining opponent. It worked.

Last night, this deck put up a good fight, but was starting to get overwhelmed by a man-lands deck. I made the mistake of not casting Anointed Procession early on, so it sat in my hand instead of improving my board position. Got it with Triselavus, but that ate Path to Exile. Followed it up with Mondrak, Glory Dominus. With the other two players finished off, the Cromat man-lands deck tried to finish me off, but I had Teferi's Protection. The turn came back to me and I was able to cast Pentavus, which went infinite in a convoluted loop with Cryptic Trilobite, Rosie Cotton, Anointed Procession, and Mondrak. Remove a counter from the Trilobite for two colorless mana. Use one mana to remove a counter from Pentavus, creating four Pentative tokens, use Rosie Cotton's trigger to put +1/+1 counters on both Cryptic Trilobite and Pentavus, rinse, repeat. Then I stacked a bunch of counters on my four remaining tetravite tokens (they weren't summon sick), and flew over my opponent's blockers for the win.

Played this deck tonight. I built up a decent board state pretty quickly. Although I did eventually die to a sudden attack from ridiculous double-strike, trampling dinosaurs, I was one turn away from winning myself. In hindsight, taking a different line would probably have gotten me there a turn earlier. Oops.

Played this deck on Wednesday night. Can't remember too much about the game. I think that I had enough mana and got some good creatures out, but found myself stalling out a bit. Twilight Drover was working well, but not well enough, apparently.

Brought this deck to the final game last night. Some of my key permanents were hit by removal spells that would have been better used against the player with the Dogmeat, Ever Loyal deck. None of us could deal with his Rogue's Passage, so once multiple instance of hexproof were on his commander, the rest of us were easily picked off.

Took this deck into a game last night and it did alright. Twilight Drover put in work. I topdecked both Workhorse and Crystalline Crawler, when what a I really needed was something besides just more mana. The board got to a kind of stalemate, which bought one player the time he needed to dominate with big attackers. I blocked 31 damage, but couldn't stop another 29 more from trampling over to me when I was at 26 life. So it was kinda close, because if I had survived that attack, I would almost certainly have won on my next turn. So yeah, good game. Too bad I didn't see either of the new cards show up.

I got a decent performance out of this deck, but a seemingly inexperienced and clueless player running a rather high-powered deck helmed by Ashling, Flame Dancer stormed off with both Grapeshot and Ignite Memories, as well as using Repercussion to hit me through my creatures. I had to guide him through some of his own lines of play and correct his understanding of the rules a few times, so it was really awkward. But he killed me, then got beaten down by his remaining opponent. Weird.
