Does the Duels of the Planeswalkers game usually have cards not in the set? I only ask because I noticed a deck with a Mox Sapphire. And it had new/old artwork... Depending on how you look at it. The artwork is from an old commission they had.

This may be the set that gets me back into magic...

I'm not sure how they decide what goes into decks in Duels of the Planeswalkers. Is it an "existing" deck that's also sold separately (like a precon) or one just made for the game? If the latter, they can probably do whatever they want.
