uhhh , wasnt it 100 posts and then your veteran??? I've seen atleast 10 people that are veterans and have 100 posts...

It's been my understanding that once someone reaches 100 posts, they become a veteran member. (Making me very close indeed!)
It's 100 posts for Vet and 30 for regular. However, if you have a custom tag and you reach a plateau, you're name will not be updated, I have to do that manually -- its not a real big deal though.
