For future generations, OK mostly just me, you might be wondering, "Why was Oversoul such a dumb, dumb dummy? The answer is a little weird. First off, I vaguely recalled (correctly?) that I didn't want to Evolutionary Leap away the top card of my library, but I couldn't remember what it was. And when Spidey cast Harness by Force, I couldn't remember what was in my hand, but thought I might want to do something, so I hedged. I figured that I'd probably just eat 2 damage to the face and then he might try something else, so I could draw that out by not sacrificing my own Husk, although I'm not sure if I had a concrete idea as to which card that was. I still figured sacrificing the Husk to itself was the smart move, but I deliberately decided against it on the basis that, "Eh, even if I have nothing relevant in my hand right now, if he forgets to sac the Husk to itself on his turn, I probably have lethal next turn, but if I assume he'll remember to make the right play, I only take 2 damage, which I really couldn't care less about at this stage. I'm trying to finish him off, not save myself a measly 2 damage! It's a mistake not to sac the Husk now, but the cost to pay is 2 life, which is inconsequential to me right now, and the reward if it does pay off is very likely to win the game outright." Of course, as Spiderman noticed and as I did not, my Husk was currently a 6/6. In conclusion, if you want to get the upper hand against me in Magic, try waiting a few days and then catch me in the morning. I'll probably totally forget what I was doing.
