D&D: Palace of the Silver Princess

As you leave the room to head down the stairs going south, you see that the opposite wall from where you are (at the head of the stairs) is now slightly open. You could have sworn that before entering the room, that wall was smooth...

(Draws bow and holds at ready... moves to wall and begins to "open" it if possible...)

The "wall" opens easily, revealing a 10' square room which contains a wooden stool and a rope bell pull that hangs from a hole in the ceiling.

I will go ahead and take a look up to see what is over the rope through the hole... specifically if it leads to the outside, is there the familliar red glow?

"I think we should head on down the stairs, but fyi, I'm just a knife thrower at this point... I wasted my spell a while ago." (what seems like months ago.... :D )

It looks like it should... it leads to a bell above, couldn't see any sky or red glow though... I'm assuming the hole is too small for anyone to climb through...

If the hole is big enough, and if we are careful enough, could we pull the rope slowly so that it does not ring the bell and have someone climb it? Obviously not me, but maybe one of our "dungeon delvers"?

Sorry, the hole is too small for anyone to climb through. It's maybe a half an inch bigger diameter than the rope. And there's no knots on the rope, aside from at the base.

(Pulls out his rope and creates a "lasso"... attempting to capture the bottom of the bell pull and pull it down while standing just outside the doorway...)

"This ought to do it..."

(attempts first toss... and continues until successful...)

Si'Nat finishes checking the room and doesn't seem to find anything, and everyone's back's are safe with Bertrem and Cugel on watch :)

*** Guys, what's going on? I know it's slow, but it's slow because you guys aren't giving me anything to go on. It really only seems to be train or BigBlue that actually push the game forward - everyone else just seems to react to the situation. Do you want to stop?

Sorry, but I honestly can't recall what our current situation is. I think I lost place of where we are because it's been moving so slowly, but I am of course part of the reason for this. Anyway, I say enough of this silly bell thing. It isn't getting us anywhere. Let's move on whichever direction...

** That's pretty much where you are. If you look at the map several posts up, you're in a 10x10 room opposite the door where the "P" is (though on the other side of the corridor).
