Mumbles an apology to Karnage for spoiling his fun, then rejoins everyone, and takes a look around to see if there is anything interesting happening.

It takes you two turns to rejoin the group, which would be about the time Si'Nat would finish checking the last 30' of the hallway for secret doors (but we actually haven't gotten there yet, so you're a turn ahead)

(Yeah, you probably all would... it's just that you still really haven't fought enough to even come halfway. I'm mulling it over)

After the third turn passes, Si'Nat has disappeared in the darkness to the east (back towards the room with the zombies), Rondo is barely in the torchlight 30' to the east of the corner, and everyone else is in the corner with the torch.

We get XP for the searching, spell-casting, fighting and all... right?

Maybe even some creative thinking XP for actions in game?...

*We should finish checking out the room where the zombies were...What happened with that statue?*

I would normally agree with TomB, however, his character said nothing so I am oblivious.

**According to the way that Basic ran, your XP was determined by fighting alone. However, Spidey is the DM and can do basically anything he wants...(hint hint)**

Fighting alone... maybe I'm remembering advanced...

so in basic - there is nothing gained for magic-users when spell-casting... or do they gain if the spell was used in combat...

"Well, if we don't see any sign of catching up to our undead friends, perhaps we should go back and get that statue. It most likely is not cursed and might, uh, prove useful later on."

(Currently, as DF said, in Basic, you only get XP for killing stuff. I do give out XP for particularly creative actions though - although I think that has only happened once so far.)

Si'Nat comes back into Rondo's range of sight and thus is in view of the people at the corner with the torch.

*Rondo just follows along with Si'Nat, going to check the passage to the east of the "room" with the statue...:)*

Cugel picks up the statue as the party heads back east and watches Rondo check the passage up to the corner where it turns back north. As he approaches the corner, a group of small, dog-like humanoids come around the corner. They see Rondo and grunt in surprise, immediately putting their weapons up in a defensive posture. They don't immediately attack though....
