*Please describe their appearance, Spidey. Are they adventurers like ourselves?*

 

[Spiderman]

From what you can tell from the torchlight and the narrow confines of the doorway, they're human males dressed predominantly in leather armor (maybe some steel plates here and there, but nothing close to chain or plate). They carry swords and shields. You can't tell their numbers but maybe half a dozen or so?

stays readied and wary, the others can take the talking part here...

(I'm just waiting on Rondo to see what he will do as everyone else has indicated their response (everyone who's wont to reply, that is)

"Hold lads...Lessee what they're about!" He moves towards the newcomers in as non-threatening a manner as an armored dwarf can manage. "So lads, what are ye about anyways?!? Why are ye here?"

 

[Spiderman]

As Rondo and Patrick step forth to speak their pieces, Si'Nat mutters behind them and makes a quick gesture. Eyes glaze over on four of the humans and they slump to the ground. The remaining human gapes and then runs to the north.

Si'Nat

"Just in case - you can safely disarm them and align them for questioning once they wake... I'll return to my searching now... If need be, I'll offer some of my rations to quench their hunger when they awake..."

(Si'Nat resumes his searching...)

"I reckon dat solved dat...C'mon lads! Let's search these guys an tie 'em up while the elf looks at the papers..."

*Assists them*

 

[Spiderman]

Rondo and Cugel tie up the four unconscious humans while Si'Nat finishes his search. He seems to be interested in one particular scroll...

Si'Nat

(finishes his search and focuses on one scroll in particular... then smiles and sticks it in his pack in a safe spot...)

"Not sure what it does, but it's Magic!..."

"Now - what do we have with these fellows?..."

 

[Oversoul]

"Wake them up?"

 

[TomB]

"An ask 'em questions an stuff! Now, get on with it!"

He shakes his head and gruffly takes up a position near the east door again, watching carefully for more surprises.

(We can try to wake them up, but my understanding of the Sleep spell is that it will keep the subject sleeping until it wears off... it's not "typical" sleeping...)

"Let's focus on this fellow..."

(picks the smallest of the bunch and attempts to wake him...)

"Hey there... what's your name and why are you all here?..."

(No, you can waken them. It's just an unnatural sleep in that they decide to sleep then, as opposed to nighttime or their own decision )

"Huh? Wha? What happened? My name's Carl, we're trying to find our way out, we're lost in here."

"Okay - I'm going to being untying you as you answer more questions and we build a trust here..."

(begins reaching for the knots...)

"So - how many were in your party all together, and why were you all in here to begin with..."

"There were about a dozen of us but we keep running into goblins and orcs. They're everywhere! Some of us got killed and some fled... I don't know where they are. We can't find any palace guards or anyone to help us!"
