**Umm..... I have 3 daggers to throw, I counted 2 thrown.... not that it 100% wins the battle or anything, but every little bit helps... After my final dagger is thrown, I guess I'll see if there's anything to throw at them, like rocks or something... :D **

Karnage continues to act like a mad man and tries his best to destroy the skeletons.

*In an effort to preserve arrows, Cugel will, if possible, join Rondo in attacking the skeletons in close combat. Failing that, he'll just use another arrow.*

How many arrows does he have left now?

Patrick, Si'Nat, and Cugel let fly with their missile weapons, but only Si'Nat hits the one facing Karnage for another glancing blow. (There's only room for two melee combatants in the corridor; Cugel has 10 arrows left)

Karnage fails to finish it off but Rondo, with a dwarven war cry, smashes his.

Round 7 - Party gets the initiative.

Patrick gets the dagger from Si'Nat's belt and throws it (I combined two rounds of action there because I didn't include him in rounds 3 & 4 attacks) but misses with that one too. Si'Nat still can't get a solid hit on the skeleton he's attacking (hits again for a glancing blow) and Cugel misses again.

Karnage misses again but Rondo's on a rampage and finishes the last skeleton on his side. He turns and flanks Karnage's skeleton, the last one.

However, the skeleton's sword stabs out and hits Karnage in the gut. He falls to the ground.

Round 8 - skeleton gets initiative

Rondo barely brings up his axe in time to ward off its blow.

Si'Nat's arrow finally takes down the skeleton.

(Begin attending to Karnage - don't we have a potion left?)

"If we can get him mobile, I suggest we retreat back to the howling room quickly, to avoid another attack. I believe we did have one last potion... so we should use that on Karnage."

After saying this, Patrick carefully peers around the corner, then if it's clear, he picks up any arrows which survived as well as his daggers and Si Nat's before making his way back to the room with the rest of the party.

The last potion is given to Karnage (who I assume drinks it? :) )

Do you head back to the howling room or no?

**Yes, we head back to rest for a turn and discuss strategies.... Should we exit and return or not? we still have Si Nat's spell, but I wasted mine expecting clerics (in plate) to come around the corner and we've taken some injuries... My concern is we're far enough in now that getting out and coming back we are probably likely to run into wandering things so the exit may not leave us any better than we are now... What does everyone think?**

*Rondo's down to half his hit points as well...I think we should save the potion and go for another rest outside...In case we run into a wandering encounter Karnage should carry the potion though, and be ready to drink it if we need him for the fight...:)*

Sounds good to me Rondo... We exit the building after our rest, then rest until healed, and as Rondo suggested we will try to save the potion... Then if you want to speed things up, we will come right back to this room... so, do we run into anything along the way? :) (a lot of wandering checks I'm sure)

(Karnage has used his one "rebirth" and is clinging to life, barely. But he can drink the potion)

It takes you 8 turns to get out of the palace, even at moving at the "faster rate for moving through known areas". Of course, after the 5th turn you need to rest, but you decide to push on since you're almost out.

The Guardians graciously open another path through the red glow for you.

Healed and rested, you're ready to adventure back in.

(Now, the encounter with the skeletons actually took place in a hallway, not a room. Is that where you're going back? Or going to a different area?
