I certainly did not consider who or how many people nominated a card, as has been mentioned, it just seems to run counter to the whole point of having a committee. I would probably consider a sort of generalized popularity of a card in casual play, but I didn't really run into that in my time. The lack of lands is fairly obvious, there are so few printed that would even be thought of, and of those, they are either not interesting enough or are too powerful to be admitted to the CCHOF. As for white, that is a surprise, although as white is my least favorite color personally, I'm not too concerned. Overall, white is often a sort of bland and utilitarian color, which doesn't excite the senses as much as some of the other options. Finally, I'd like to say a word for our current inductee, I thought that the nominated cards were quite good, with at least 3 cards that would have been slam dunks in other sets. I liked Biorhythm though because the effect will almost always be game changing but in a casual way, because it is not an auto-win, there is an element of both control and randomness too the effect, and it rewards playing creatures.
