The (or better, one of the many) downsides of Arena is that you can't interact with your opponent. So there's no way to give or receive feedback about the deck you just played (or are going to play). That doesn't stimulate originality.

Hey Oversoul, just popped in to mention that this thread was one of the first to pop up when I googled for Hecatomb. I don't have a monoblack EDH deck, a pile of black cards and a Hecatomb, so I'm close to calling it a deck.

And to be honest that's still cheap for a playable RL card .

The Epic store gives away free PC games every few days. Sometimes mainstream big titles that are a few years old, sometimes relatively new but unknown games. If you want free games... worth checking out. Obviously you're paying with a privacy intrusion.
