Magic artists don't know what a mountain looks like anyway. Have you seen the art for Mountain in other sets? Like 90% of them don't look anything like real mountains.

I'm from Florida - I wouldn't know a mountain if I saw one - they all look great to me...

Well, sure, but at least they look like like tall things that may contain rock.
This isn't even in the same plane of existence... which, I guess is the point maybe.

Side note: I was just perusing mountains from past sets and noticed that War of the Spark has a "mountain" with obelisk rocket ships. Never noticed that before.
