Tomorrow, I begin a day long travel of flights and layovers to arrive in Graz, Austria, home of the American Institute of Musical Studies summer program. I'll be there for 6 weeks studying and performing opera.

I'll be sure to keep you guys updated on my happenings!

Wow, and I though I was travelling a lot this next 2 months....Indiana, Florida, and Arizona.....I guess that is just small potatoes next to you...

I landed in Austria today. Woke up at 6am yesterday.... and am still awake. I reckon I got another 2-3 hours or so before I should sleep, so as to not be screwed by Jet Lag.

Thought I'd give an update...

I've been having a great time over here in Graz. I had my first performance last night during an Italian Opera recital, singing Malatesta's aria from "Don Pasquale" and Don Giovanni's Seduction duet. I'll have 5 more performances before this trip is over, singing Operetta, German opera, and a show with Orchestral accompaniment.

In addition to these performances, I've been taking classes and coaching to help improve my technique and performance. I've been enjoying these the most. I'd love to upload some pics, but pics are too large to transfer right now. I'll have to shrink them and do it later.

I'll be making a trip to Vienna, Salzburg, or Venice at sometime, and I'll let you guys know about that when it happens.

For those of you on facebook, I've posted several albums of pics.

I'll keep you guys posted !

Hmmm....... perhaps, but they aren't recording any of the concerts. I'd need to bootleg mine from a friend in the audience for that.

Hey Ransac... Just wondering if you've seen anything of the Magic nature?...

Neat to hear you are performing... Are these the types of performances where it is just show, or are they having dinner and show?...

What would be the most non-favorable thing you have tasted so far?...

1. No. I have not seen anything Magic-related so far. HOWEVER, I still have 3 weeks left, so anything can happen.

2. I performed a show and dinner last week and will again this week, but the rest are just for show.

3. The food has been great, with the exception of half the food they serve us at the school. It's 50/50, really.


I may have a recording for you guys, we'll see.

Okay, just to give an update of what's happening.

I came back from Graz a week and a half ago. However, while I was in Graz, my living situation back "home" changed. I WAS going to move to Knoxville and prepare for upcoming Young Artist Program and Artist Diploma audition. But, while I was in Europe, I was offered the opportunity to come attend the Cleveland Institute of Music for a Professional Studies program.beginning this fall (technically, now). I jumped on this, since CIM was one of my top choices for a Post-Grad program. I've spent all of my time in the States moving and getting settled in Ohio. I should have internet in my apartment on Friday. Then, I'll get back to my "duties."

Please, be patient with me. :D

I went through the same kind of thing a couple of years ago when we looked at moving towards Maryland...
