What a freakin' Barn Burner last night's game was (Detroit vs. Penguins). At the beginning of the 3rd period it was 5 - 2 Red Wings and then I turned off the radio and went to bed only to find out this morning that the Penguins came back to win it in overtime 7 - 6. Ya think the pens were still 'ticked-off' about the Cup last year?

Let's Go Pens!

Let's go Pens indeed!

I think the Pens will have that chip on their shoulders until they win a cup of their own. I was personally really disappointed that Hossa passed up a long and lucrative contract with the Penguins for a 1-year deal in Detroit.

For the game last night, between the Penguins' first goal and their final surge to make it 5-3, they looked ridiculously outmatched. But it was nice to see Staal start showing more of his promise. He looked totally unstoppable in the third period and overtime.

They are a young team..... Staal is only 20 this year.
And they don't always look like they are in step with each other, but when they do, they look unstoppable.

Hossa was great last year for the Pens.... Thank you Marian.

I don't believe that the Red Wings are going to repeat, so I hope the Pens win it. Karma is a killer.

Man, that Sabre's game was awesome!!!! I was in my car on the way home at the beginning of the third period pens were down 2-1 when Crosby tied it up. I got home and STAYED in my car until the end of the game just so I wouldn't miss a second of it.

I don't think any pens fans should be thinking about trading Jordan Staal now! ;)
