I was looking for somethiong more substantial than what I 'linked' but I didn't have time to read all of the search results.

There are always two sides of the story and I'm hoping that the GenCon side of the story is that there was some sort of mis-communication.

What was this failed "Celebration IV"?

It sounds to me like they went out on a limb, and lost their shorts...

The auction proceeds which were tagged for the Wish Foundation could possibly have been non-existent... Just how bad was the turnout? Perhaps they didn't hold the auction - which is why there were no proceeds to donate?

I am very surprised that there could have been a mega SW convention which lost that much money? Was it not advertised?

Anyone have any details?

Celebration IV was freaky... I was scared of downtown indy and after seeing Darth Vader walking down the middle of the street followed by a troop of stormtroopers I decided to skip Indy that year in my roundabout.
