Nothing Special
Time for the official kick-off of the fifth season of the CPA Sports League: the quasi-annual draft. Much of the following may sound extremely familiar.
Here are the packs that were chosen: Urza's Destiny (Mooseman), Born of the Gods (Spiderman), Eventide (Turgy22), Onslaught (Melkor), Dragon's Maze (rokapoke).
Here's a reminder of how this draft will work:
- Each player picks a number of cards equal to the round. So, in round 1, you make one pick; in round 2, you make two picks, and so on.
- You can make trades any time before, during or after the draft, but before the season kicks off. You can trade draft picks, but be sure to specify exactly which pick you're trading, especially if it's from a later round. I've numbered each pick to make things easier. All trades should be announced in the Season 5 Sign-Up thread. I will then update the information here.
- I'd like to keep the draft format the same as before:
1) Quote the following post, which has all the cards.
2) Put the card(s) you're taking at the top of the post, above everything else.
3) Remove the chosen card(s) from the list.
4) Update who's on the clock. If picks get traded, this might get confusing. I'm going to try to keep the full draft order up-to-date to make things easier.
- Finally, I’ve decided that there will be no formal time limit, in an effort to encourage trading. If you’re working on a trade with someone and you’re on the clock, please post that information in this thread so we know what’s going on. I would imagine it might take some time to negotiate trades. If you’re on the clock and haven’t responded in three days, I’ll send you a PM reminder and bump the thread. After five days, your turn will be skipped (you can then make it up at any time, though).
Please use this thread only for making your picks and updating the available cards. If you want to discuss trades, use the official season 4 sports league thread.
At this time, I don't have time to properly sort the card in the next post, so I'm just putting the list out there for everyone's perusal. Please don't start picking until I at least sort the cards by color. I think I'll have the draft "officially" kick off some time this weekend, at which point Mooseman can make his pick. I just wanted to get the packs made so everyone has time to look over the cards being offered and think about what they want.
