Here is where to post card ideas for the first CPA set (Casualties of War). Ideas for abilities and new mechanics also go here.

Please don't repost anything that you've posted in the previous thread (the really long one, you know) as they've all been read, printed, and considered; many of them have even been used.

Anyone whose Legend is not in the spoiler (see article, main page...should post later today) please put it here if you want one in this set. Keep it reasonable. There is a limited amount of space (particularly for multicolored cards) so older members get first shot at inclusion. Don't worry, newer members, you'll get your chance in the expansion(s).

Well, my legend was in the old thread and, despite much acclaim at the time, was passed up. So it goes.

Anyway, here are some of my card ideas (hint, I like white):

T, Sacrifice a nonbasic land: Destroy target nonbasic land. All creatures controlled by that land's controller gain plainswalk until the end of that player's next turn.

Pursuit of Ignorance

Enchantment
Skip your draw step: Target player skips his or her next draw step.

Knight of the Rose

Trample.
All creatures gain plainswalk.

Stalemate

During your upkeep, you may pay 1 life. If you do not, sacrifice Stalemate.

Reparations

When Dwarven Tutor comes into play, you may search your library for a Dwarf creature card and put that card into your hand. Shuffle your library afterwards.

Dwarven Raider comes into play with 3 raid counters on it.
Remove a raid counter from Dwarven Raider: Dwarven Raider is unblockable until end of turn.
***this creature might be better suited for an expansion where there could be several creatures of several colors with the raid counter ability.

R, Sacrifice Dwarven Missionary: All Dwarves get +1/+2 until end of turn.

Mordecai I am so sorry. Somehow I overlooked your very cool Legend offering, way back at the begining of the thread!
I will code it in tonight.

I am thinking just how perfectly these are fitting into the tentative backstory. Great work, Mordecai! C'mon everyone, the standard has been set!

I think the Rancor enchantment might just be a little too good, but I'm don't know how I'd change it to keep it playable.

I came up with these cards for my own personal Almindhra theme...And it took me awhile, and some are weird...

Valley of Dreams - Legendary Land
Comes into play tapped
Tap: produce a colorless
XUU Tap: Look through the top X cards of your library and put them back in any order
Somehow she knew what would happen before anyone did.


Hidden Barrier 1UU
- Enchantment
If at any time your opponent controls 2 or more lands than you, becomes an enchant land targetting one of your lands and gains the abilty
UUU Tap: Counter target spell

Almindhra, Illusion Weaver UUU
-Legendary Illusionist
U Tap: Sacrifice a land to counter target spell

Obviously, very, very Green. No splashing this. I lowered the casting cost, but made it easier to be removed. Not sure if that balanced it completely, but it seems pretty fair...

No matter the casting cost, I just love that
Foundation of Rancor enchantment.

What about a "Foundation" card for each color?
(If thats ok with Mr. Foundation of Rancor.)

White: Foundation of ----
Red: Foundation of ----
Black: Foundation of ----

Blue: Foundation of Knowledge

Suggestions please!

I like Zadook's new Foundation of Rancor Enchantment. I also think its a great idera to throw in a cycle of Foundation encahnements. I kinda think the foundation Rancor is a bit to stron. Why dont we up its casting cost but give it an acc? Make it cost GGGG but put it into play if your oppenent gains 10 life or if you sac 2 creatures. For mthe cycle how about

Foundation of Cowardice UUU
When this card gos to the graveyard, you may pay U and return it to your hand.
Whenever a creature you control damages a oppenent, draw a card.

Foundation of Jelously BBB
WEhen this sucker goes to the graveyard, you may B to return it to your hand.
All creatures you control gain "Sac this creature and pay 3 life: Target player discards a card at random"

Just for an example. They might be too strong though. What do you guys think? Oh we should make em all legendary enchanments.
